CSA 12, 10¢ dark blue (4 huge margins all around) tied by red PETERSBURG Va. circular datestamp on small envelope to Miss Lou Throneburg Newton NC with “Lieut. M.M.T. Co. C 28 NCT” soldier’s endorsement at upper left. The sender, posting a letter to his sister, was Lieut. Mathias Miller Throneburg. The back of the cover has a note that this cover was purchased from Eugene Klein in 1924; Klein was the famous stamp auctioneer and dealer who famously bought the sheet of the iconic 1918 24¢ inverted Jenny error from William T. Robey and pencil-numbered the plate positions on the backs of all 100 stamps before selling the sheet to Col. H.R. Green, convincing him to break the sheet and then brokering them for him. $200
